How many steps ahead is your content?

Strategy first. Then the perfect words.

Tommy Stubblefield, strategic marketer, builder, and thought leader. I help brands decide what to say, who to say it to, and why it will change a mind.

I'm Tommy, a marketer and thought leader who has spent two decades planning and executing strategic content.

Content strategy is more than a calendar, more than social promotion. It's research, problem solving and transformation. And like a good game of chess, it's thinking several moves ahead.

That instinct has carried across online retail, tourism, healthcare, and fintech, from a founding B Corporation to a national staffing platform. That's why I built the Content Strategy Library.

Anyone can make content. Strategy gives it meaning.

My work starts with the question most content efforts leave out: whose mind are we moving, and toward what? Everything else answers to that. Here are some examples of my content strategy in action.

01

Discover Atlanta

Destination marketing. Two audiences, one domain, and a site that asked every reader to sort themselves.

02

Major fintech brand

Four business lines publishing constantly, and a social team with no way to decide what to post next week.

03

Content Strategy Library

I created a free, growing reference for the frameworks content strategists actually use.

Two audiences... with overlap.

A destination marketing site was speaking to leisure travelers and convention planners in the same place at the same time, asking readers to figure out which one they were.

A full library. An empty calendar.

A major fintech brand published across four business lines, constantly. Its social team still had no way to decide what to post next week.
